I devised the concept for this essay and member survey following the December 2012 shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut. I wrote the essay and selected survey responses.
The feature package received a 2014 Silver EXCEL Award from Association Media & Publishing in the magazine feature category.
